Cougar Crossing

Your Birmingham Zoo is expanding its footprint with the addition of Cougar Crossing, a new area with a focus on bobcats and cougars. Not only will guests learn more about our local wildlife, but they will also be guided through the importance of conserving Alabama’s native species.

ZooGala 2024

This year’s Zoo Gala is black tie optional and will be a true Safari Soiree on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 6:00-10:00PM. Surrounded by majestic animals along the Trails of Africa at Your Birmingham Zoo, we will honor the family of Tom and Julia Crawford, longtime zoo philanthropists. Hosted by Zoo Gala co-chairs Crystal Witherspoon and Lee McKinney, it will be an elegant evening featuring great cuisine, refreshing libations, must-have auction items, animal encounters, live entertainment, dancing, and more.
